XAT 2016: Apply by Nov 30

Applications can be submitted online till 30th November, 2015 for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), a common test for admission to the Management Programmes of Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur and XAT Associate Member Institutes.

Kochi: Applications can be submitted online athttp://www.xatonline.net.in till 30th November, 2015 for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), a common test for admission to the Management Programmes of Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur and XAT Associate Member Institutes (XAMI). 
 
XLRI conducts XAT on behalf of the XAMI. The list of XAT Associate Institutes is available at http://xatonline.net.in/#XATassociateIn addition, over 130 Institutes use the XAT score for their admission to management programmes. A person interested in XLRI or any other XAT Associate Member Institutes, has to register for XAT 2016 and apply separately for the academic programmes of XLRI or to the institutes of choice. XAT will be held from 10.00 am to 01.30 pm on 3rd January 2016. The test will be Paper and Pen based. XAT 2016 will be held at, Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Berhampur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Goa, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Surat, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Udaipur, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam. XAT 2016 would also be conducted international cities, Dubai and Kathmandu.
 
XAT 2016 will have four sections (i) Verbal and Logical Ability (ii) Decision Making (iii) Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (iv) General Knowledge. There will be an essay also. The marks of General Knowledge will not be used for determining the percentile and cut off at first stage of selection 
 
Eligibility for XAT 2016: 
Applicant should hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline. Those completing their final examination by June 10, 2016 may also apply. All Indian candidates must appear for XAT 2016. However NRI and foreign candidates may apply through GMAT score (except Dubai and Kathmandu wherein candidates have an option of appearing for XAT 2016).
 
Eligibility for XLRI Programmes: 
Human Resource Management (HRM); Business Management (BM): Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline. Those completing their final examination by June 10, 2016 may also apply. All Indian candidates must appear for XAT 2016. However NRI and foreign candidates may apply through GMAT score (except Dubai and Kathmandu where in candidates have option of appearing for XAT 2016).
 
Global Business Management: 
This one-of-a-kind programme, offered in partnership with the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, USA) and School of Economics & Management at Tongji University (Shanghai, China) constitutes a diverse class of Indian, American and Chinese students. Students will be taught by faculty drawn from each of the three partner schools and spend a semester each in Shanghai, Cleveland and Jamshedpur.
 
Applicant should have a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline. Those completing their final examination by June 10, 2016 may also apply. Candidates with an experience of three years or more will be given preference for Global Business Management. All students (Indian/NRI/Foreign) Candidates may apply either through XAT 2016 or GMAT score (taken between December 01, 2013 and December 20, 2015).
 
General Management Programme: 
Recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in India/abroad with at least 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience by March 31, 2016. Candidates may apply either through XAT 2016 or GMAT score (taken between December 01, 2013 and December 20, 2015). 
 
Registration Procedure: 
Those interested in appearing for XAT 2016, should first visithttp://www.xatonline.net.in and click on ‘Register’ and create a new account with the personal email id. Applicant will receive a unique XAT ID and registration link. Applicant should click on the link and create his/her own password. Subsequent logins can be done with this XAT ID and password. 
 
Applicant should select his/her citizenship (Indian/ Foreign / NRI). If the applicant is interested to apply for XLRI, he/she must select the programme of choice from Business Management (BM)/Human Resource Management (HRM)/Global Business Management (GBM)/General Management Programme (GMP). If applicant is not interested in any of the XLRI programmes, he/she may skip this step. Applicant should fill preliminary information (Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Category and Phone Number etc….), provide mailing address and permanent address, educational qualification starting from 10th onwards, details of work experience starting from the latest job. Candidates desirous of applying to GMP must have total experience of five years till March 31, 2016. Applicant should choose the XAT 2016 test city. Applicant can preview the inputs entered. Applicant should upload his/her scanned digital photograph and signature less than 1 MB. The details related to the process of uploading the photograph and signature is available in the website. 
 
Applicant should select mode of payment. There are three possible modes of payment. 
Mode 1: Online Payment Gateway- Fee can be paid through VISA/Master Credit/Debit Cards (American Express Card is inadmissible). IDBI Account holder can avail the IDBI Net banking facility. 
Mode 2: Cash Payment: Applicant should take a print out of the XAT Pay-In-Slip and visit nearest IDBI bank and make the payment. 
Mode 3: Demand Draft: Applicant should take a DD from any Bank in favour of ‘XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT’, payable at Jamshedpur. Those paying through Mode 2 & 3 should update the payment details in the registration page.
 
Candidates only interested in XAT but not in XLRI need to pay a fee of Rs. 1500/-. Candidates interested in XLRI programme(s) needs to pay an additional fee of Rs.250/- each. Applicant should print XAT Confirmation page and should quote the XAT ID for all correspondence with XAT office in future.
 
Those who remit the fee by way of DD should send the Confirmation page and the Demand Draft to, ‘The Chairperson Admission, XLRI, Circuit House Area (East), Jamshedpur- 831001’, within fifteen days from the issuance of DD.

Last date for applying for XAT 2016 is 30th November 2015. The last date to change test city is 26th November 2015. Admit Cards can be downloaded from http://www.xatonline.net.in, from 20th December 2015 to 31st December 2015
Results will be available on the website by 31st January 2016.
